Aravind, Atifah & Rajvin is pleased to share that a matter we advised on has recently been reported in the media.

Aquawalk Group Berhad, the operator behind Aquaria KLCC, has announced a joint venture to develop and operate Aquaria Java Timur Park in Batu, East Java, Indonesia. The project has a reported total initial investment of approximately IDR110 billion (about RM24.6 million).

Our Firm acted for Aquawalk Group Berhad in the drafting, negotiation and finalisation of the joint venture agreement. The matter was led by Rajvin Singh, Head of our Corporate & Commercial Practice.

The transaction reflects the growing trend of Malaysian businesses expanding into regional markets through strategic partnerships and joint ventures. Such arrangements require careful legal structuring to ensure commercial alignment, effective governance mechanisms and appropriate risk allocation between the parties.

We are proud to have supported Aquawalk Group Berhad on this cross-border transaction and wish the company every success in the development and operation of Aquaria Java Timur Park.

At Aravind, Atifah & Rajvin, we regularly advise businesses, investors and listed companies on joint ventures, shareholders' arrangements, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and other strategic corporate transactions in Malaysia and across the region.
